Jen Rogers
Jen studied Maths at A Level, Business Management at Bachelors Degree level and Global Supply Chain Management at Masters Degree level. She currently works in Purchasing at Rolls-Royce.
Manufacturing companies need to buy in parts (from the ‘supply chain’) as well as invoice their customers. Jen can advise on many business/commercial/supply-chain aspects of work, particularly in an engineering environment but also in business in general.

Donna Palmer
After gaining a MChem in Chemistry at the University of Leicester, Donna went on to complete a PhD in Green and Sustainable Chemistry in 2006. After completing her PhD, within 3 years, Donna joined the UK Health and Environmental Research Institute, part of Pera Innovation Network (www.pera.com ). Pera is a world leading research and technology organisation that supports small to medium sized enterprises to develop new products or ideas by accessing grant funding from UK or European public funding programmes for collaborative research and development projects. Donna has worked at Pera for 3 years and has been involved with all phases of a collaborative research project from the concept development stage to project management and completion. As part of the Health and Environmental Research Institute Donna has experience in a wide range of topics including, novel solvent processing, waste to energy, contaminated land, waste water treatment and biodegradable polymers.
Donna is currently working towards Chartered Chemist status and can answer questions about studying: Chemistry, Environmental Science and related fields.

Sue has been a systems engineer with Rolls-Royce in Derby for over 30 years, and is currently a Staff Technologist in Control Systems. She graduated in Mechanical Engineering at Loughborough University and has an MSc and a PhD, both by research, sponsored by Rolls- Royce, and she is a Chartered Engineer with the Royal Aeronautical Society. She has worked on in-service and new aero-engine control systems, and in research. Her work involves systems aspects of controls e.g. designing both the physical and electronic interfaces of engine control systems. She uses computers in her work as well as being involved in testing of engines in Derby, Bristol and Europe.
She can advise on design aspects of engineering and the management of small projects, including collaboration with other companies and universities for research purposes. She is also willing to answer questions on how to raise several children without having any career breaks.

Following a degree specialising in the teaching of technical subjects, Joanna spent time studying Mechanical Engineering in the Czech Republic, Mexico and Spain. She has worked in several major companies in many aspects of manufacturing and mechanical engineering including information security, 3D design, product development and market research. She currently works as a senior project manager for Brush Turbogenerators Division of Melrose plc.
Joanna can provide advice on many aspects of manufacturing and mechanical engineering. She is also linguistically gifted, speaking seven languages and still learning more!
