Rebecca Godridge

Rebecca has an MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Bradford which involved three industrial placements in Leeds, Antwerp (Belgium) and Cambridge.  In 2007 Rebecca went on to start an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) in Formulation Engineering with the University of Birmingham.  The EngD studies were carried out in industry at a large multi-national household goods manufacturer in the field of granular detergent storage stability, where Rebecca developing expertise in microscopy, sorption isotherm measurement and computational modelling.

Rebecca is currently working for Rolls Royce as a Technical Engineer in the Submarines group, working towards chartered status with the Institute of Chemical Engineers.

She can answer questions about postgraduate study (particularly EngD’s), Chemical Engineering and related fields.

Fiona Hamilton-MacLaren

Fiona Hamilton-MacLarenFiona completed her masters degree in Civil Engineering with an industrial placement year working for the Environment Agency in 2008. Fiona is now researching sustainable construction for her PhD at Loughborough University. She has worked in industry, both in an office and in the field.

Fiona can answer questions on civil engineering, sustainable construction, the experience of working on construction sites and the undergraduate and postgraduate study experience.
